Guide and Driver Pick up from Siem Reap. International Airport (SAI) and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Guide and drive to Choueng Kneas village, where you will take the boat to visit the way of life of the Cambodian poor people, along with schools, restaurants, hospitals, and much more, floating on the great lake of Tonle Sap. Located 16 km (20 minutes) south of the Siem Reap city center and 5 km south of Phnom Kroam, Chong Kneas is one of the most popular of the several floating villages that line the great Tonle Sap Lake. The boat tour lasts around 2 hours along the river to the edge of the Tonle Sap, passing by the floating homes and shops of the small fishing community, with a couple of stops.

Breakfast at the hotel – The sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with Colums, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers that embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure, giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. The day ends with you walking up to Phnom Bakheng to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

After breakfast, take a walk along the road in front of the King’s Residence to see the Main Shrine, where the local people usually worship, with its statue of YeayTeap, Preah Ang Chek, and Preah Ang Chorm. Buying jasmine and lotus flowers to worship is very important for the Cambodians. Then continue visit Wat Thmey (Killing Fields). The Wat Thmey Temple is notable for being an area that served as one of the killing fields during the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Back to the city center and we will visit the Angkor National Museum, known as the grand entrance to a world-class heritage that reveals the glory of Angkor Civilization. This museum enhances the cultural heritage of the Golden Era of the Khmer Kingdom through amassed collection of invaluable artifacts and through state of the art multimedia technology exhibition for a full picturesque, legendary story. Early evening, you will be taken by Tuk Tuk, a small open-sided taxi common in Cambodia, to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap town and for a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity, and safety for your journey.

After breakfast at the hotel, we take a two-hour road trip to the base of Kulen Mountain. Considered by Khmers to be the most sacred mountain in Cambodia, Phnom Kulen is a popular place of pilgrimage during festivals. It played a significant role in the history of the Khmer empire, as it was from here in AD 802 that Jayavarman II proclaimed himself a devaraja (god-king), giving birth to the Cambodian Kingdom. Kulen features a giant reclining Buddha, hundreds of lingas carved in the riverbed, and an impressive waterfall featured in the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie.
Return from the top of the mountain, and then stop to visit well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way, we make a stopover at the Preah Dark village, and we follow this with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive reliefs depicting scenes of Vishnu as well as Krishna legends.
