Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi

Xin chào! Welcome to Hanoi.

At Noi Bai International Airport, please do the immigration formalities, pick up your luggage, and clear customs when you arrive. Your personal driver/guide will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name, and will transfer you to your hotel by private vehicle.

Note: Hotel check-in time is from 14.00. We will try to fit in an early check-in whenever possible, depending on room availability.

Enjoy a welcome dinner in the evening at a local restaurant. The rest of the day free.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

After having breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will come to the hotel to pick you up, then you will start the Hanoi city tour. The first place to visit is the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you can visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the body of Uncle Ho is kept. Next, you will visit the Presidential Palace – a nice French architecture in the garden and Ho Chi Minh House on stilts.  Visiting the house, you will see the simple life of Ho Chi Minh – the president in Vietnamese’s spirit forever. Fill this area with One Pillar Pagoda – one of the most attractive attractions in Hanoi you cannot miss with the special in architecture.

Before having lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit the Temple of Literature – The first University of Vietnam. Next stop is Museum of Ethnology to learn more about Vietnamese culture. The tour with a relaxed cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, known for its 36 ancient streets. This relaxed trip is a great opportunity to experience the capital’s traditional charm and modern atmosphere.

End your day with the traditional Water Puppet Show, a unique art form from Vietnam where folklore is depicted through intricate puppetry on water.

Walk back to your hotel. An evening at ease.

Day 3: Hanoi - Balong Bay

Morning

The guide will collect you from your hotel in the morning and drive you through the verdant Red River Delta countryside to the world-famous Halong Bay, where you’ll spend the night aboard a traditional Vietnamese junk boat. Your leisurely voyage will be set against an ethereal backdrop of limestone karsts and tropical islets that rise from the emerald waters of the bay. As soon as you arrive, you will be escorted to your junk boat, which will take you on a tour of the bay’s numerous limestone islets and caverns.

 

 Good afternoon

 Following a sumptuous on-board lunch, you will have the opportunity to relax on the sundeck while taking in the serene beauty of the harbor. Sung Sot Cave, also known as “Grotte des Surprises,” is a natural wonder that you will discover later on. Gently glide past stunning limestone formations adorned with myriad stalagmites and stalactites. Keep cruising. Hidden coves, powdery beaches, and floating towns await you as you wind your way around the islands.. With so much free time, you may do anything you want onboard or explore the lovely Bay. Take a dip in the verdant seas or relax at the ship’s spa. You will set sail toward the overnight mooring spot as the day winds down. When the enchanted “blue hour” arrives, Halong Bay’s real, breathtaking splendor comes to light. Before indulging in a delectable dinner, you can take in a breathtaking sunset from the upper deck or witness the chef’s culinary demonstration.

 I shall have the remainder of the evening to myself. Before you head to bed, unwind with a movie or go squid fishing with the crew.

 Please take note that an extra night on board allows you much more time to unwind and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, therefore we strongly advise doing so if your schedule enables. Deeper into the Bay, away from the crowds, is where your boat will take you.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang

Start your day with Tai Chi on the sundeck, breathing in the crisp sea air as the sun rises over the karsts. Enjoy a short cooking class where you will learn to prepare local delicacies such as spring rolls. Enjoy a light brunch on board, followed by a relaxing trip back into port, then transfer to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, meet your local driver and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 5: Da Nang - Bana Hill - Hoi An

Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and we will transfer to Ba Na Hills. Take the Cable Car, which gets 5 world scores to Ba Na hills station. Stop at By Night station, visit Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, The Old Villas of French. Continue going up by cable car to Nui Chua Mountain – the top of Ba Na range, visit Nghinh Phong top, Le Nim Villas, Orchid Garden… Enjoy the hill climbing train (Vietnam’s 1st and unique funicular) and visit the old French cellar (Debay Ancient Wine Cellar), flower garden Le Jardin D’amour.

Do not miss a walk on the famous Golden Bridge in the foggy hills of the mountain and witness the amazing, gorgeous view of Da Nang City.

Enjoy lunch in one of the Ba Na Hills restaurants.

Afternoon: Enjoy games at Fantasy Park – the third largest indoor games in Vietnam with many interesting games: 4 – 5D film, skiver, The death race, dinosaur park…

Around 15h30 Transfer from Ba Na Hills to Hoi An ancient town, duration approx 01 hour.

Arrive at Hoi An and check in to your hotel. Free time on your own.

 

Note: The entrance fees for Wax Museum, Wine Cellar, Alpine Coaster rides, and paid games at Fantasy Park are excluded. You will have to bear the costs for participating in these activities.

Day 6: Hoi An

It would be great if we could get a close-up and personal look at the local fishing and cooking groups. As soon as you are picked up from your hotel in Hoi An, you will begin your journey to the neighborhood market, where you will shop for the ingredients you will need for the day. In order to prepare for the culinary lesson that will take place later, you need follow the guide and head to the village of Cam Thanh to purchase organic veggies. On the other hand, before we start this session, let’s go on our boat and go on a river tour. During this trip, we will get the opportunity to interact with local fishermen and have a firsthand experience of traditional net fishing. As you navigate the canals of the coconut palm paradise, you will also have the opportunity to paddle the one-of-a-kind bamboo basket boat that is traditional to Vietnam.  By taking this tour, you will have the opportunity to gain a cultural perspective on the ways of life of both our farming and fishing communities.

You will then be able to enroll in a cooking lesson, during which you will learn how to prepare dishes such as deep-fried spring rolls, papaya salad with shrimp crackers, pork or fish cooked in a clay pot with steamed rice, and Banh Xeo, which is a rice pancake topped with fresh salad combined with seasonal fruit for dessert.  It is now time for lunch.

 

Overnight in Hoi An

Day 7: Hoi An - Phu Quoc

Enjoy your breakfast and free time to explore Hoi An.

Follow your flight time, your driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby to transfer you to Danang airport. Fly to Phu Quoc from Danang.

Another will meet you upon your arrival at Phu Quoc airport. And then he will take you to your accommodation in Phu Quoc. Check in at your leisure. Free.

Day 8: Phu Quoc

The bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and embark on the group speedboat tour to explore the 4 most famous southern islands of Phu Quoc.

Your first stop is Xuong Island (or Buom Island), where you can snorkel in a pristine environment among vibrant coral reefs. Then, go to Gam Ghi Island, which has one of the biggest coral reef systems in Phu Quoc, for another stop of snorkeling in the crystal-clear sea.

The next destination is May Rut Trong Island, where you will have a lovely lunch and an opportunity to unwind on the beach, swim or just recline under the palm trees with a drink in hand. This island also offers great photo opportunity.

For something extra special you can choose to join the Seawalker experience (optional and own expense) where you will be wearing a special helmet to walk on the sea floor surrounded by colourful coral and tropical fish even if you can’t swim.

Later, head to Aquatopia Water Park on Thom Island to experience over 20 fascinating water games and six themed zones.

Cap up your excursion with a ride on the world’s longest three-wire cable car to Sunset Town, where you’ll experience spectacular panoramic views of Phu Quoc’s turquoise sea, islets and traditional fishing towns.

The tour ends around 5:30 PM, with a shared transfer back to your hotel.

Day 9: Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh

In the morning, you’re free to do as you like.

Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the Phu Quoc airport, follow your plan to get the flight to Ho Chi Mịnh

After check in your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnel

Morning

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll leave for the Cu Chi caves. It will take about an hour and a half to drive there. When you get there, there will be a short introduction and then a movie about how the tunnels were built and how the people who lived there during the war did it.

Then, take your time visiting the rest of the area and tunnel systems. These included the bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and storage areas, as well as military facilities such as weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and storage areas. All of this was done to help the people who lived in the caves meet their basic needs. Also, for safety reasons during the war, there are a lot of secret trap doors and dangerous traps in the maze-like tunnels. After that, there will be special tea and cassava, which was used as a wartime food by guerillas.

Then you’ll go back to your Ho Chi Minh hotel.

 

Afternoon

A half-day guided trip provides an excellent introduction to living in Saigon.  Zip through traffic on the back of a motorcycle in groups of no more than 10.  Explore the bustling streets, vibrant marketplaces, must-see attractions, hidden lanes, and ancient residences.  Explore the picturesque alleyways where Vietnamese folks work, live, and socialize.  Visit the famed Chinatown, the world’s largest and oldest, to learn more about Saigon’s traditional values and mixed-culture lifestyles.

Discover city landmarks like the French Quarter’s Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.  Admire the architecture of the Saigon Opera House, the city hall, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and take a wonderful photo with the magnificent apartment cafes.

Discover hidden beauties in the city, such as the Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument.  Explore the Cambodian Market with a cool drink and food

Visit the Thien Hau Pagoda (Mother of the Sea), which was established by the Chinese in 1760 to introduce their religious ideas to Vietnam.  On your walk back to your hotel, pass Nguyen Trai Street in District 5, which is known for its hundreds of designer shops.

 

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta

Start the day with a healthy breakfast, and then go on a trip to the Mekong Delta.  Around 7:15–7:30 am, the guide will meet you in the hallway of your hotel. You will then be taken to My Tho, which is on the left bank of the Mekong River.

When you get there, get on the sampan and take a ride down the river between the four beautiful islands, which are called Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise.  Take a break at Unicorn Island, stroll through the country roads, and check out the flower farms.  View fruit farms and enjoy tropical foods and music played by locals in the form of folk songs.

Then, take a sampan that you row by hand through Thoi Son canal and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.  You can try honey tea and coconut candies at the honey-bee farm and family workshops.

After a traditional Vietnamese lunch to get some energy, you can ride your bike around the Tan Thach town and meet the people who live there to learn about their daily lives in the Mekong Delta.  Feel free to spend some time in a hammock and enjoy the cool breeze if you don’t want to go on a bike trip.  After that, you’ll go back to where you are staying.

 

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 12: Depart Ho Chi Minh

After you have finished your breakfast, your private shuttle will meet you at the hotel and take you to Ho Chi Minh International Airport. Once there, you will either catch your aircraft back home or continue on to more exciting adventures; we will assist you with the planning process.
